Katra is a town in the eastern part of
Muzaffarpur District in
Bihar. Around 26 km towards the east of
Muzaffarpur, the town is located at an altitude of 154 ft above sea level.
Kali Mata Temple and Ramna's Tripur Sundari Temple are the ideal spots for pilgrims in Muzaffarpur. Vaishali, known for many historical and religious sites, is nearly 55 km to the south-west of the town.
By road, Katra is connected to Muzaffarpur, Gaighatti, Aurai and Bochaha .
