Kathar is a beautiful village in Bishnah taluk of
Jammu District. Situated at about 918 ft above sea level, it is just one kilometer away from
Shri Partapsinghpur. Kathar has Kotla in the west, Joian in the east and
Pindi Charkan Kalan in the south. It is a comfortable base for trekkers and mountaineers and is a treasure house for visitors.
Buses ply frequently from Khaur to Kathar. It is also accessible from Jammu, about 25 km.
