The Kath Gola is an ancient Jain palace in
Mahimapur,
West Bengal. It is an ornate, four-storied, palatial mansion surrounded by picturesque gardens. The entrance to the mansion is crafted with precision. The interior was created with imported materials in the late 19th century.
The Kath Gola complex includes an 18th century
Adinath Mandir enclave. The walls of this Jain temple are also intricately designed. A typically Jain style of ornamentation lends a unique beauty to this temple.
Originally, the Kath Gola and the Adinath Mandir were retreats for a wealthy Jain merchant, Dhanpat Singh Dugar, and his family.
The Nasipur palace is a nearby attraction.
