Kashmiri Ver is an unusual spice mixture, in the form of small flat discs. It is a special blend of spices and comes in the form of flat round tikkas with a hole in its center. It is prepared in a manner unique to each household and is used in small amounts over many foods to give them a perceptibly Kashmiri flavor. The distinct flavor of Kashmiri dishes come from this dried spice paste and the common ingredients are chillies, coriander, cumin, cloves, ginger, turmeric, and cardamom.
