Karjan Reservoir




Karjan Reservoir is built across the river Karjan, a tributary of the Narmada, for the Karjan Reservoir Project in Gujarat. It is situated at Karjan in Vadodara District. It is about 23 km from Nareshwar and a few kilometers from Rajpipla.

With a total height of 100 m, Karjan is a masonry and concrete type reservoir. It has a total catchment area of 1,404 sq km. The length of the dam is 903 m and it has a storage capacity is 630 cubic meter.

Vadodara Airport and Karjan Junction Railway Station are the convenient airport and railway station. Nearest bus station is Ankleshwar Bus Station.
