Karekatte, a famous Christian pilgrim center, is situated, in the midst of thick forests, at Hulikal Ghats near
Kundapura. Legends have it that, the statue of St Anthony used to guard the travelers traveling through the forest.
A chapel has been built in this place, which is dedicated to St Anthony. The annual feast is celebrated on the last week of February or March first week every year.
