Karamana Mahadeva Temple




Mahadeva Temple is a highly revered shrine, situated between Karamana and Kaladi, in Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala. The temple enshrines Lord Shiva as the presiding deity. Shiva is worshipped here in the form of a Shivling. Other deities worshipped here include Lord Ganesh, Lord Muruga and Nagaraja.

This temple is an outstanding example of Kerala style of architecture. Almost the entire pantheon of Gods in Hindu mythology occupies a place in the Rajagopuram of the temple. Garland made of Koovalam is the main offering here.

Mahashivaratri , celebrated here amidst much pomp and splendor, attracts thousands of devotees from far and near.

Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
