Kappiyarai

Kappiyarai is a small settlement spanning over an area of about five sq km, sitauted in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. Valvaithankoshtam is situated in the north, Killiyur in the west, Thiruvithancode in the south-east and Balapallam in the south. Colachel Port, Adhikesava Perumal Temple at Thiruvattar, Padmanabhapuram Palace, Sanguthurai Beach, Manavalakurichi, Muttam and Nagercoil are nearby tourist spots. Accommodation is available at Nagercoil. Trivandrum International Airport is the nearest airport. Kuzhithurai Railway Station serves the town. Nagercoil Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. Kappiyarai can be accessed from Nagercoil and Kuzhithurai by road.
