Kannimara Teak Palakkad




Kannimara Teak is one of the biggest, tallest and oldest natural teak trees in the world. This teak tree is located at Parambikulam Wild Life Sanctuary in Palakkad District of Kerala. The age of the tree is estimated to be around 350 years.

This tree was given the Mahavriksha Puraskar award by the Government of India in 1994-95. The girth of the tree is so wide that it would require at least four people to embrace it with their arms stretched. The girth of this giant teak tree is 6.57 m and height is 48.50 m.
