Kaniyur Mutt is in situated
Udupi District,
Karnataka. The main branch of this mutt is in Kaniyur village and hence the name. An idol of Yoga Narasimha with four hands was gifted to Sri Rama Tirtha, the original pontiff of this mutt. The idol has sankh and chakra in two hands. The present pontiff is Sri Vidya Varinidhi Tirtha, who is 29th in the line.
