Kancha Gadiya




Kancha Gadiya is a pilgrim center located at Navadvipa, Nadia District. The place forms the house and samadhi of Sri Haridasa Acharya, an associate of Lord Chaitanya. Being a devotee of the lord, he was told by Chaitanya to live in Vrindavan. Thus, he was also known as Braja Haridasa.

Kancha Gadiya is also the home for many great persons. Sri Radha Ballava Dasa Mandala, a person who translated the Vilap Kusumanjali of Sri Raghunatha Dasa Goswami, had his resident at this place. The Asta Kavirajas - Narasimha Kaviraja and Sri Raghunatha Kar also lived here.

Bhaja Soha Station is the nearest railhead to reach this destination. Mayapur is the nearby city from where frequent buses ply to Navadvipa.
