Kanalan Arts, a traditional art center in
Chennai, was established in 1994. It is an integration of minds primarily dedicated to the revival and popularization of
Tanjore Paintings, the centuries old religious art form of
Tamil Nadu. The center is a one stop space for huge varieties of imported photo frame molding, mount boards, machines and Tanjore paintings. Kanalan Arts has a team of artists and a valuable patronage from art lovers within and outside the country. The aim of the center is to promote traditional south Indian art. Kanalan Arts also exports various south Indian artworks.
Chennai International Airport at Tirusulam, 7 km south of the city, is the nearest airport. Chennai Central Railway Station and Egmore Railway Station are the nearest railheads.
