Kanakdurg Fort, a sea fort, is located in
Ratnagiri District of
Maharashtra. It lies near the Harnai Port.
Kanakdurg Fort was constructed by Shahu Maharaj in 1710. There are steps to reach the top of the fort and there is a huge water tank. On one of the highest points, a lighthouse and some old houses can be seen.
