Kampur




Kampur is a small town in Nagaon District on the banks of the river Kopili, one of the major tributaries of the Brahmaputra. It is bounded by Chaparmukh in the west, Phulaguri in the north, Kathiatali in the east and Jamunamukh in the south. The town serves as a center for business and education for the surrounding area.

Places of interest include Jamunamukh, where earthenware articles are made and Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary. Kampur lies 18 km north of Nagaon. Kampur Railway Station serves the town.
