Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the outskirts of
Visakhapatnam, about 20 km away.
It spans over 70 sq km of dry evergreen forest mixed with scrub and meadows. Inhabitants include panthers, spotted deer, sambar deer, barking deer, wild boar, jackal and wild dog.
Visakhapatnam Airport and Visakhapatnam Junction Railway Station are the nearest accessible points.
