Kambadahalli

One of the major Jain centers in Maharashtra, Kambadahalli is a beautiful village located near Nagamangala of Mandya District, about 20 km from the famous Shravanabelegola. The place got its name from a huge pillar named Manasthambha. Numerous other temples also dot the village landscape. Major point of attraction at Kambadahalli is Trikutachala temple of Bhagwan Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankar. Bhagwan Shanthinatha Temple also attracts a large number of devotees, with the 12 ft high idol of Lord Shanthinatha, the 16th Jain Tirthankar. A group of seven temples stand in the western region of the village. These temples are noted for their architectural excellence. With architectural styles reminiscent of the Nagara and Dravida, the temples are interesting tourist attractions as well. Bangalore International Airport is the nearest airport.
