Built in the classic north Indian architectural style, Kalki Temple in
Jaipur is the only one temple dedicated to Kalki, the incarnation of
Lord Vishnu, yet to come. Raja Sawai Jai Singh, the founder of Jaipur, built this temple in 1727. It is at the eastern entrance to the city palace. The entrance is through a ceremonial beautiful archway. Facing the temple in one corner, is a beautiful white marble figure of a horse. At the backside, is a small shrine dedicated to Goddess
Lakshmi. The temple has a deserted look and is closed since it has been waiting for the arrival of the Lord to whom it is devoted.
