Kalidas Festival is one of the richest cultural events in
Maharashtra. This annual festival is celebrated in memory of
Kalidasa, a renowned poet and dramatist of ancient India.
Organized by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), the festival is held at Ramtek, a historic site situated in Nagpur District. It is held during the month of November and celebration lasts for two days.
Kalidas Festival is a festival of music, dance and drama. During this occasion highly skilled artists from all over the country perform live classical music concerts.
