Kali Bari Mandir is located near
Lakshmi Narayan Temple in
Delhi. The presiding deity here is
Goddess Kali. Liquor is the main offering to the goddess.
The temple is very simple in design. A huge ‘peepal’ tree pierces through the ceiling to shade the temple. It is considered a holy tree and red threads are tied around its bark for the fulfillment of wishes.
Durga Puja, held here in the month of October, is a major draw.
The temple is open from 04:30 to 12:00 hrs and 16:00 to 21:00 hrs daily.
