Kalghatgi is located on the Hubli - Yellaour national highway in
Dharwad District of
Karnataka. It is famous for two Jain temples - Dodda basadi, an ancient Jain temple dedicated to Sri Shanthinatha Tirthankar, and Chickka basadi that enshrines Bhagwan Parshwanatha as the main deity.
Kalghatgi is about 25 km from Hubli. Hubli Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
