Kalchini is a
taluk headquarters town situated 14 km south of Buxa Duar, in
Jalpaiguri District of
West Bengal. Kaljani River, one of the tributaries of the Teesta, flows nearby this town.
Madarihat is 16 km to the west.
Hasimara,
Rangamati and
Rajabhat Khawa are the nearby towns.
There are many interesting spots in and around the town, remarkable among them are Kalchini Tea Estate,
Buxa National Park and Jayanti, a beautiful tourist spot on the banks of the Jayanti River.

Coochbehar Airport and Kalchini Railway Station.
