Kalayat is a religious place, located on the
Kaithal-
Narwana road, in
Jind District of
Haryana. Kalayat is about 70 km from
Kurukshetra. It is named after Kapil Muni - the author of the Shankhya Shastra.
The prime attraction is a shrine dedicated to Katyayani Devi. The tanks located here are considered sacred and are believed to have curative properties. A substantial number of devotees throng here during Karthik Purnima.
