Kalamitra is a cultural center at
Auroville in
Pondicherry. The word Kalamitra literarily means friends of the arts. Established by a group of Aurovilians, the main objective is to promote cultural events and workshops in the field of theater, dance, music, poetry, visual arts, exhibitions and cinema. Kalamitra also provides support for young artists and performers to improve their ability.
