Kala Chhaya is a dance institute situated on Prabhat Road, in
Pune,
Maharashtra. It was established by Smt Prabha Marathe in 1965. The main aim of the institute is to bring the rich heritage of the north Indian classical dance form
Kathak to Maharashtra.
Kala Chhaya also offers training in Tabla, vocal and instrumental music (Sitar, Santoor and Flute). The institute organizes regular lectures/demonstrations, workshops and exhibitions in performing and fine arts.
Kala Chhaya provides intensive-crash courses of 6-10 weeks along with regular diploma and degree courses.
