Kakori is about 15 km north-west of
Lucknow and lies on the Lucknow-
Malihabad road.
The village is historically famous for the train dacoity engineered during the independence movement. It is also the seat of one of the oldest and most revered Sufi orders in the country - the Qadria Silsila.
Kakori Railway Station is on the Lucknow-Malihabad rail route. Amausi Airport is the nearest airport.
