Kakolat Waterfalls is a famous cataract on the Kakolat hills, located about 33 km from
Nawada, on the Ranchi road in
Bihar. Here water cascades down from a height of 150 to 160 ft. Near the falls there is a natural reservoir. Green forests and a calm and serene atmosphere makes it a favorite spot for tourists. A big fair is held during bishua or chait Sankranti. During this three day mela, many devotees take their bath in the waterfall.
