Kakanmadh Temple is an ancient shrine situated at Sihoniya in
Morena District of
Madhya Pradesh.
Built by Kachchhapaghata Kirttiraja, the temple stands on a lofty platform, which is surrounded by subsidiary shrines. It consists of a sanctum with an ambulatory, which is roofed by a 31 m tall shikhara (notable for its size and sculptural wealth). There is a beautiful mandap and porch, which can be approached through the flight of steps.
The major town close to the temple is Morena, which is about 300 km north of Bhopal.
