Kaitha lies 28 km east of Ujjain, in Ujjain District of Madhya Pradesh. The trekking site of Tarana is 11 km north. The state highway from Kaitha also passes through Tarana.

Nearest airport is Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport, at a distance of 61 km. Ujjain Junction Railway Station (30 km) is the major railhead. Kaitha is well connected with National Highway 3.
