Kahnuwan




Founded by Kahna, a Rajput of the Nur clan, Kahnuwan is an ancient town in Gurdaspur District, located around 20 km from Gurdaspur. The ancient buildings are symbolic representations of the antiquity of the town. Kahnuwan was the pargana headquarters of the Mughal dynasty.

The nearest airport is the Gaggal Dharamsala Airport. The town is connected to other parts of the state by a good road and rail network. Nearest railway station is at Dinanagar at a distance of 5 km.
