Kahala




Kahala, also known as Karna, is a trumpet common in Orissa and Karnataka. This wind instrument is of 1 m length and made of gold, silver, copper or brass. The golden one is found in temples as strange objects or as old princely paraphernalia. The silver one is used as a professional accessory of the deity. The copper or brass is used by the common people.
