Kaginelli




Kaginelli is a small sleepy village which lures the visitors by its panoramic landscape and lush greenery. This serene village lies nine miles west of Haveri on the way to Hirekerur. Kaginelli, a historic place is the death place of Sri Kanakadas, the noted Kannada poet. This place is home to the Adikeshva Temple, and it is this presiding deity who is said to have inspired Kanakadas in his famous writings.

Haveri Railway Station is a prominent junction under the South Western Railways. The nearest airport is at Bellary (119 km).
