The second largest nesting colony of Painted Storks in
Karnataka and the only mixed heronry of Painted Storks and Grey Herons in Karnataka, Kaggaladu Heronry is situated at Kaggaladu near
Sira in
Tumkur District.
Best season to visit is from March to July. The place is around 130 km from
Bangalore.
