Ka Fifai is a Buddhist mythical dance-drama performed by the Kampti tribe in
Arunachal Pradesh. It is generally performed during religious festivals.
The drama is woven round the theme of the traditional belief that ghosts appear and kidnap girls or men and trouble them. The main characters in this dance-drama are a man, his daughter, the king of the state in which the man and his daughter are subjects and the ministers of the state.
The play opens with a man and his daughter walking in the garden. Suddenly, a ghost appears and captures the girl. Then the man rushes to the king and beseeches him to rescue his daughter. Infuriated, the king orders his ministers to prepare for a war. Ultimately, the king and his men succeed in capturing the ghost.
