K L Institute for the Deaf is located at
Bhavnagar in
Gujarat. It is one of the premier schools in India for the disabled, offering free lodging, boarding and education to over 300 students. The institute has medical experts, para medical staffs and specially trained teachers. Free camps for the eradication of deafness are also organized. A degree level course is conducted for teachers dealing with disabled students and there is a special course for the mothers of disabled children.
