Jyothi




Jyothi village lies in Cuddapah District. It is an archeological site, where 108 Shiva temples, dating back to 1213, were discovered during excavations. The main temple is the Jyothi Siddhavateswara Swamy temple, which has a big Shivlinga. There is a life-size inscription with the symbol of Swastika on the left and the sun, moon and a bull on the right. The temple also has a gopuram, a mandapam and the sculptures represent the Vijayanagar style of architecture.
