Jumma Masjid, built in 1770, is situated a hop across from Crawford Market, in
Mumbai,
Maharashtra. This small, quiet mosque features a cluster of white domes. Rising from the mossy green water of a tank it is supported by slender white arches. The mosque is constructed almost entirely in marble, right down to the exquisite inlaid floors and chiseled balconies.
Thousands of devotees visit the mosque daily, especially on Fridays.
