Jaisalmer are prominent places where the jooties are available. Each of these regions has its own distinctive style of jooties.
The leather is beaten, tanned and dyed before the actual work of the footwear begins. Patterns are created by punching and carving holes. Studs and sequins are applied to the footwear. Some of the jooties even boasts embroidery work made with wool. The jooties exhibit the craftsmanship of the cobblers belonging to Rajasthan.
