Jonbeel Mela is held every year during winter period at Jonbeel near
Jagiroad in
Morang District.
Tribal communities such as Tiwa, Karbi, Khasi and Jaintia come with various products and these products are exchanged according to the barter system. Before the mela they perform a fire worship, which is meant for the well being of the mankind. Various cultural programs are performed by the tribes during the period.
