Jonai

Situated in Dhemaji District, Jonai is a town in the easternmost side of Assam. The town is bounded by Arunachal Pradesh in the north, Brahmaputra River in the south, Sipiya river and Sadiya of Tinsukia District in the east and Simen in the west.

Jonai is well linked by road and rail to the rest of Assam. Direct buses are available from Guwahati (554 km), Tezpur, North Lakhimpur, Dhemaji to Jonai. Murkeongselek Railway Station serves Jonai. Ferry services are available from Dibrugarh to Jonai.
