Jomnamah Festival is an important harvest festival of
Ho community in
West Singhbhum District of
Jharkhand.
The festival is celebrated, when the first crop is ready for harvesting, either in August or September. During this time, the first harvested crop is cashed in every house. Those people, whose crops are not ready by that time, get some grains from their neighbours and the occasion becomes a celeberation of camaraderie.
Dance and songs are an essential part to celebrate this festival.
