Established in 1979, Johnson Grammar School is under the patronage of Johnson Education Society, headed by the founder and chairman Mr. SRN Mudiraj. Being an ISO 9001 certified school, it is proud to have over 6,000 students. The school is divided into four sections - pre-primary, primary, middle, and highschool. Each section is headed by an in-charge. Students from classes I to X are divided into four houses, namely
Aryabhatta, Bhaskara, Insat, and Rohini. A sixteen member strong student council is the coordinating body of the institution. School admission is purely based on an entrance examination. Johnson Grammar School has games room, hostel, computer lab, library, and counseling center.
