Jiwaji Club




Jiwaji Club was founded in 1898 by the then British regent, during the period of His Highness Madhav Rao Scindia. Formerly known as Elgin Club, it was renamed as Jiwaji Club by His Highness Jiwaji Rao Scindia in 1936. Today this club is one of the best social clubs in Madhya Pradesh.

The club has 3 AC double bedrooms to the guests of the members. Other facilities include 4 tennis courts, indoor and outdoor badminton court, AC billiard room, swimming pool, card room, restaurant, bar and library. Lawn is available for the members or the relatives of the members for marriages or parties.

Tourist memberships are available for the tourist visiting at Gwalior for a period not exceeding one week. Casual memberships are provided for one day. Gwalior Railway Station is the convenient railhead, and the nearest airport is at Gwalior.
