Jinkanji Teerth




Jinkanji Teerth, also called the temple of Bhagvan Trilokanath, is a Jain Temple situated in Tirupantikundram village, near Kanchipuram city. The idol of Jinkanji Teerth is Bhagvan Mahavir Swami. This temple is famous for its artistic beauty. There you can see fascinating and beautiful paintings of the five Kalyankas of Bhagvan Adishvar, the construction of the samavasarana, life events of Mahavir Swami, and births (bhavas) of Bhagvan Neminath on the ceiling of the pavilion. Foot-prints of Acharya Vaman and his disciple Puspasen under the tree where the Acharya practiced penance are also found there. The Teerth is managed by the Archaeological Department.
