Jhiranya is a taluk headquarters town in the south-eastern part of Khargone District, in Madhya Pradesh. Surrounded by the major settlements such as Pandhana, Bhagwanpur and Bhikangaon, the town is located about 45 km south-east of Khargone and about 55 km south-west of Khandwa.
Upper Beda Dam, constructed on the Beda River and located near Nemit, is the major landmark. Maheshwar, Bawangaja and the prominent Jain pilgrimage center of Oon are the other places of tourist interest.
