Jhira Bagh Palace is located near
Indore in
Madhya Pradesh. The palace was built in 1860 by
Maharaja Anand Rao Puar III, the ruler of the Dhar province. Jhira Bagh Palace served as a guesthouse for British nobility during the reign of the British in India.
Jhira Bagh Palace was renovated in 1945, by the last ruler of Dhar, Maharaja Anand Rao Puar IV. The palace underwent a transformation combining both the British and Indian styles. The palace has now been converted into a heritage hotel with a natural setting, boasting a mix of ancient and modern living.
