Jhinjhari is a historical place situated on
Jabalpur Road in the
Katni District of
Madhya Pradesh. It is around 3 km from
katni, the city of lime. There are around 14 big colored painted rock of prehistoric time. Nice painting of animals, fighting tools, man and woman, trees and flowers are present on these rocks. These paintings date back to 10000 BC to 4000 BC. Some of the pictures belong to the middle age - 700 BC to 200 BC.
