Jharna




Jharna, a fine-looking garden with cascades and fountains built by Firuz Shah Tughluq is located near Hauz-I-Shamshi at Mehrauli in Delhi. The jharna takes care of the excess water that flows from the Hauz-I-Shamshi after the monsoon. The well-known festival Phoolwalon Ki Sair which is held every year begins from this jharna. The word meaning of jharna is waterfall.
