Jeevodaya is a hospice for advanced cancer patients located in
Chennai,
Tamil Nadu. It is a non religious, charitable and non-profit organization that provides services to poor and abandoned cancer patients. It has 50 beds for in-patients and dormitory facilities are provided for patient's relatives.
Jeevodaya occasionally conduct education programme on cancer with audio visual aids in school and colleges, highlighting the evil effects of tobacco - the main known cause of cancer. Recreation facilities such as music, games, library and gardening are available. Ambulance services are offered to transport patients to and from the hospice.
