The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund was set up to conduct and promote the manifold constructive activities which are dear to the heart of Jawaharlal Nehru. With this objective, the Fund conducts a number of activities, which include publication of selected works that constitute an essential archival record; award scholarships for higher learning; forge new dimensions in science through planetariums; hold science exhibitions bringing people in contact with the wonders of scientific knowledge; hold memorial lectures inviting men of outstanding ability to speak; open Jawahar Bal Bhavans as extra-educational activity centers for the fuller development of children’s personality; maintain his home, Anand Bhavan, as a museum; remember him on his birth and death anniversaries with music, dance and exhibits of art. The branch office at Allahabad contains an activity center having three main activities- a museum, a planetarium and a Jawahar Bal Bhavan.
