Jarai-ka-Math Temple is a magnificent temple at
Barua Sagar. It was built during the reign of the Pratiharas and is dedicated to Durga.
Standing on an elevated ground, the temple walls are adorned with carved sculptures of the multifarious forms of Durga. Now, only the pedestal and a jeweled right foot of a female placed on a lotus stalk remains in the sanctum sanctorum.
Built around 860 AD, this red sandstone temple is a pancharata shrine is a protected monument.
